Best Photography Gear is a website that was established to help make photography simple and to provide information on camera gear that wasn’t full of complicated details.
We started with our partner site, Smashing Camera, back in 2013. For over 15 years we’ve been covering the best cameras and lenses.
The heart of our mission is to help teach people about photography and camera equipment. We strive to make it easy to understand ‘why’ a particular camera lens or accessory is a great value.
We study and research all the cameras and gear out there and then give you details that allow you to select what will be best for your needs.
From DSLR’s and Mirrorless Cameras and Lenses to tripods and Memory Cards, we can help you figure out what you need.

Some have been professionally trained and others are more self-taught. This gives us a nice balance of having a deeper understanding of photography and camera gear, while still being able to make it relatable to anyone. Regardless of their skill level.
